Growing up, my mom used to always say, "almost anything really worth doing is hard."
I shoot film because it challenges me. It pushes me outside my comfort zone and forces me to confront and play with the uncontrollable. And what comes from the struggle are beautiful, rich, and perfectly imperfect photographs of real moments between people and families. There's an intangible soulfulness and magic that comes across ever so naturally on film. I want photographs like that for my own family and I want them for yours too.
