But sometimes, all you want is just a few soulful shots of you and your people done in a quick and painless 20 minutes, ya know?

I got you.

Let’s get you in front of my camera and see how easy (and fun!) it is to create stunning portraits that FEEL like you.

ALL THE DETAILS

When: Saturday, October 22nd

Where: My garage (that I’ll be converting into a studio) at my home in Kaysville, UT

Who: Anyone! Single portraits, couples, family, mama and kids, kid portraits, pets…you choose! Fall Portraits are a chance for you to say, “Hey, Sam. I’d really love some amazing images of __________.” And I’ll be like, “Cool. Let’s do it.”

What you get: A 20 minute portrait session with Sam and 15-20 images shot on your choice of color or black and white film. Your edited, high resolution digital image files will be delivered to you in a private online gallery for you to download, keep forever, and use however you’d like!

How much: Fall Portrait sessions are a $500 investment. Payment must be completed in full in order to reserve your spot.

How to book: Reserve your session HERE. Upon booking, please note whether you’d like color or black and white film for your session. I’d also love it if you told me a little about who’s going to be in your session (ex. "just me!, “my kids (ages) and I,” “me and my partner,” etc) and a few brief sentences about what you’re hoping to capture most with these images.

You’ll receive an email with the address to my home once payment has been submitted.

FAQ

What color will the backdrop be?

I’ll have a lovely white muslin cloth backdrop set up. Clean, classic, simple.

Will there be props?

In order to keep these images as much about YOU as possible, there won’t be any props set up. I will have some simple stools available to use if we choose.

If the images are shot on film, do I still get digital files?

Yes! I send all my film off to my lab in Alabama. They then develop and scan the film into a computer and send the digital image files back to me. I’ll upload your final images to a private online gallery and email you the link to view and download them.

What’s the turnaround time for my finished gallery?

You’ll receive your gallery by November 16th.

What if I have to cancel?

Life happens. Totally understand. Once a session is booked, however, I’m unable to offer refunds. If you’d like to transfer your session spot to someone else, you’re welcome to do so. Just take care of the payment exchange on your end and let me know of the change so we can all be on the same page.

Can I see some examples of what kind of images I can expect?

For sure. Because this is the first time I’ve offered this kind of session, I can’t show you exaaactly what your images will be like (you’re going to have to just trust me a bit!), but you can check out a gallery here to get a good idea of my work.

What should we wear?

Honestly? Whatever you want. Just make sure you’re comfortable and feel like yourself.

Do try to avoid any kind of graphics or logos on clothing as they can be distracting.

My kids are crazy. Can you really get good shots in just 20 minutes?

I love crazy. And yes, yes I can.

IF I BRING MY FULL FAMILY, CAN I ALSO GET A FEW SHOTS OF JUST MY KIDS INDIVIDUALLY OR JUST ME AND MY KIDS, etc?

Yes! Not every single shot has to be your entire family. We can definitely play around with different groupings and portraits so you have a good variety!

HELP! I CAN’T CHOOSE BETWEEN COLOR OR BLACK AND WHITE FILM! can i do both??

You truly can’t go wrong! Both are beautiful for different reasons.

While my full sessions do include both color and black and white, you gotta choose for your Fall Portrait session!

But don’t stress about it. There’s honestly no bad choice here. I promise you’ll love your images either way.
